Role Summary The role of Accountant is responsible for a variety of financial tasks crucial to the success of Intellivo, including but not limited to auditing, financial reporting, and other general cost accounting tasks for multiple locations.
The ideal individual for this role would be a self-motivated and detail-oriented team player.
This role will report to the Controller and will be working in an environment that offers an opportunity to grow and gain exposure to several areas of accounting.
Location This role is an on-site position in Memphis, TN.
Responsibilities Month-end/year-end closing of records and adjusting entries.
Maintain General Ledger and conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements.
Accounts payable.
Maintain the chart of accounts.
Analyzes balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy; prepares balance sheet reconciliations with detailed explanations of account balances.
Assist with payroll processing and recording payroll transactions.
Preparation of various indirect tax reports including sales/use, gross receipts, payroll, personal property, 1099’s, etc.
Complete local, state, and federal government reports.
Fixed Asset Activity.
Assist in the coordination and completion of annual financial audits.
Provide recommendations to improve systems and procedures.
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
Provide support and guidance to accounting team.
Qualifications Our backgrounds are varied at Intellivo.
If these statements sound like you, you might be a good fit for this role: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
3-5 years’ recent experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, including on-line and desktop versions – minimum of 3 years’ experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Able to multi-task and prioritize work.
Adhere to deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Must be detail oriented.
Proficient in Excel, MS Word, and other Microsoft applications.
Must have a positive attitude.
