Accounting Intern
SUMMARY
As an Accounting Intern, you will work primarily under the supervision of the Assistant Controller and the Vice President of Finance.
You will get the opportunity to see how accounting is applied, not only in the Accounting Department but also how it affects other business units.
You will also get the opportunity to see how the treasury function supports the business.
Work will include running reports, reviewing transactions, performing reconciliations, and analyzing bank transactions and the general ledger.
This internship will enable you to experience accounting hands-on, as well as expose you to a dynamic and forward-looking organization seeking operational excellence.
Location: Memphis Corporate Headquarters - must be located in Memphis, TN or willing to relocate
Reports to: Assistant Controller
PROJECTS TO BE COMPLETED:
Review intercompany reports to track transactions between companies
Analysis of cash transactions and forecasting
Assist in preparation of financial reports
Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
Ad hoc reporting and project support as needed
Additional training to ensure success
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
An individual qualified for this job must have and maintain the following qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in business administration, finance, or accounting
SUMMER 2024 INTERNSHIP PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Summer internships will begin mid-May and end mid-August (flexible)
Intern schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday (hours are flexible based on availability)
Hourly wage ranges from $18 to $23
