The Senior Development Manager will collaborate with the VP of Philanthropy and Director of Development to create and implement a comprehensive plan for corporate and faith partners by pursuing funding and participation in all major fundraising initiatives.
The Senior Development Manager will lead all annual plans for volunteer engagement and recruitment.
*Duties/ Responsibilities:* * Create and launch comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure corporate, local businesses, and faith contributions including small private grants.
* Prepares and presents proposals for corporate and small foundation support in concert with VP of Philanthropy and Director of Development * Collaborate with the Development and Communications Team to develop materials for corporate sponsorship packages and secure in-kind donations.
* Manage grant/funder reporting requirements, including tracking grant/funder requirements, and obtaining and timely submitting required data, results, and reports.
* Manage the Volunteer Engagement Team and collaborate with leaders to develop a comprehensive and cohesive approach to volunteer recruitment, engagement, and training for Habitat Annual Builds and Memphis Habitat ReStores.
* Provide support during programs and community engagement activities with particular attention to donors.
* Continue to develop knowledge of fundraising best practices through membership in the Association of Fundraising Professionals and attendance at professional development events and training.
*Required Skills/Abilities: * * Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent analytical abilities that can be applied in aligning the organization’s objectives with available funding opportunities.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and encourage others.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
*Education and Experience:* * Bachelor’s Degree in related field highly preferred.
* At least four years of fundraising experience and nonprofit sector experience highly preferred.
*Physical Requirements: * * Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
