*Job Summary:*
Lifedoc Health is a Healthcare Non Profit that is focused on building healthier communities by preventing diabetes and obesity through healthcare and research.
As a Grant-writer for Lifedoc Health, you would play a crucial role in securing the funding needed to accomplish this very important, yet challenging mission.
The Grants Writer is responsible for successfully researching, writing, and applying for grants as well as helping in fulfilling the grant requirements and reporting findings and updates to the leadership team.
The Grants Writer is also involved with assisting in the management of relationship with foundations and donors.

*Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)*
· Through researching and networking Identify grant opportunities with a high likelihood of success.
· Leads grant proposal development and submission—preparing and organizing materials for proposals, and submitting and monitoring of grant applications
· Writes contract proposals that reflect goals and objectives of Lifedoc’s mission and vision.
· Combines all documents needed in support of a successful grant
· Creates and continuously updates a master calendar of grants and prospects and all associated files and correspondence
· Updates library of grant support documents as needed which may include bios, IRS forms, Board/staff diversity lists, etc.
· Sending accurate thank you letters to donors and overseeing the grant contracts and agreements
· Acknowledge donors and help administer Lifedoc’s CRM tool and Social Media
· Manage multiple ongoing projects and provide reports and presentations as needed.
· Works closely with finance and other departments to maintain grant compliance and grants budgeting
· Helps in the administration of the grant and monitors compliance with the grant terms and requirements
· Ensures each project is aligned with the funder’s policies, formats, timelines, reporting and legal requirements (inclusive of the use of funds)
· May be responsible for facilitating or assisting with other fundraising projects that are unrelated to grants.

*Experience and Skills:*
· Bachelor’s degree (or at least two years of work experience with nonprofit administration, grant writing, or fundraising)
· Two or more years of experience in of grant writing experience
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
· Ability to meet deadlines and effectively multi-task when necessary
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
· Experience with using a donor development software systems
· Some familiarity and experience working with national, governmental and local donors,
· Ability to work in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
*Physical Requirements:*
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,400.
00 - $63,300.
