As an Engineering Technician, Drafting, you will utilize the latest computer-aided design software to prepare drawings for various engineering projects exercising some discretion in interpreting written descriptions, verbal instructions, and sketches.

Essential Functions*:
Prepare both preliminary and final drawings for various types of projects, using individual judgment in determining such factors as scale, method of presentation, and color.
Create and modify complex drawings of various disciplines from layouts provided by engineers.
Check drawings for accuracy of detail and calculations involved.
Assist in interpreting drawings for various departments.
Exercise advanced skills in the manipulation of the ACAD and Inventor software and drafting techniques.
Prepare on-the-spot field sketches for later use as a basis of formal drawings, as required.
Prepare bills of material, specifications, and work orders,
Prepare charts, graphs, maps, and diagrams for presentations.
Make artistic illustrations as needed.
Position Requirements*:
Associate’s or Technical Degree; emphasis in engineering and/or mechanical drawing preferred.
Three to five years of engineering drafting experience within a manufacturing field.
Experience with 3D CAD Modeling; Inventor preferred, AutoCad experience a plus.
Ability to travel to other Winchester locations to support audits and other projects as needed.
This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required
This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.
S.
Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Prior Winchester experience in a relevant position preferred.
