Our community maintenance technician performs a variety of tasks throughout the day.
The day to day in the maintenance department involves maintaining our community with interior and exterior repairs and upkeep, responding to resident request for a variety of calls for repairs, prepare and assist in market ready units for the next resident.
Our maintenance team works with customer focus, works in a safe environment, and maintains a safety conscious environment.
Don’t have all the skills or knowledge below, it’s okay! The willingness to learn and basic knowledge of tools, household appliances and structures is a starting point.
Responsibilities included, not limited to:
- Responding to resident work orders (leaky faucet, Door hinges, locks)
- Repairing and unclogging toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and exterior drains.
- Installing and repairing wires, plugs, and switches.
- Repairing broken or damaged items.
- Assists in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash and debris, pressure-washing breezeways, and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
- Completes documentation and other paperwork in a timely, accurate, and complete fashion so that service requests can be appropriately documented for internal reports.
- Assists in conducting routine and periodic property inspections to identify safety and risk management concerns, keep the property in good repair, and communicate concerns about the physical needs of the property to management.
- Accurate documentation of required community logs for regulations.
- Attending monthly safety meetings performed by the Property Manager.
Community areas the maintenance technician is responsible for:
- Apartment homes
- Pool area
- Laundry Room
- Dumpster areas
- Amenity areas
- Common areas
- Maintenance shop
- Leasing office
Qualifications:
- Pre-employment drug screening and criminal screening.
A driver’s license is required in all positions, except for the Groundskeeper, depending on community size.
- Work Location: This position is on premise position.
The maintenance technician, while performing the job, will be required to stand, walk, crouch, bend, and lift objects regularly throughout the day.
Frequent standing and use of arms and legs.
The position requires you to physically lift 10 or more pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
CLK requires weights exceeding 50 pounds to be accomplished with assistance from one or more people.
- Working Environment: Outdoors 66%-100% of the time.
The maintenance technician position is responsible for the upkeep of the exterior and interior of the community.
Schedule: Full Time
Some weekends may be necessary based on business needs.
