Position Summary:
This role will oversee order picking, packing, and productivity of DC Associates.
The DC Supervisor will manage a team of direct and indirect reports.
This role will liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements.
This role will deliver the company’s overall culture within their areas of responsibility.
This role will deliver KPIs to team and upper management.
Essential Functions:
Lead and coach team members by providing support, facilitating effective performance management, cultivating a positive working environment, driving business initiatives, and encouraging self-development.
Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel.
Ensure goals and expectations are set and obtained.
Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.
Monitor production to resolve issues.
Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace.
Other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required (minimum).
Minimum Experience:
Experience in distribution center or warehouse environment: 2 years (Required)
Advanced Excel (v-lookup, formulas, tables, etc.
): 1 year (Required)
Experience in leading and managing direct reports: 2 years
Required skills:
Resource planning to meet demands.
Understanding of the DC Receiving of Inventory and management of the inventory once in stock.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Understanding of general distribution center processes
Ability to set budgets and resource scheduling based on forecasting and demand.
Strong multitasking skills, priority-setting, and communication/writing skills.
Strong computer skills in programs such as Excel and WMS.
Ability to maintain and keep confidential and sensitive information.
Working Conditions:
Onsite required, non-climate-controlled distribution center environment.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time, with or without reasonable accommodation.
