Gastro One, a leading gastroenterology practice in Germantown, TN, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team.
The PAT RN will play a crucial role in patient care by conducting comprehensive assessments, providing education, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for our gastroenterology patients.
*Responsibilities:*
* *Patient Assessment:*
* Conduct thorough patient assessments, focusing on medical history, symptoms, and treatment goals.
* Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans.
* *Education and Counseling:*
* Provide patient education on gastroenterological conditions, treatment options, and post-procedure care.
* Offer emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
* *Procedure Preparation:*
* Coordinate pre-procedure assessments, ensuring patients are adequately prepared for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
* Address patient concerns and questions related to upcoming procedures.
* *Documentation:*
* Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
* Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in electronic health records.
* *Collaboration:*
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
* Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative teams.
*Qualifications:*
* Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Tennessee nursing license.
* Minimum of 2 years of Pre Admissions experience in a clinical setting, preferably in gastroenterology or a related field.
* Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make sound nursing judgments.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of gastroenterological conditions, procedures, and treatments.
* Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
